Design And Implementation Of Campus S-card System For High Schools

Campus smart card(S-card)system has become being an essential system for a college with the rapid development of information technology in education industry. Carrying advantages like convenience, rapid clearing, secure and efficiency, many high schools start to build their own S-Card system. Compared with colleges, high schools have a lot of demands. Therefore, high schools have to develop the system according to their own requirements, instead of completely copying the system in colleges.This thesis first analyzed the basic requirements of S-Card system in high schools, then completed the preliminary design using methods like UML and sequence diagram, and after that, this thesis elaborated the preliminary design to get detailed design. In order to integrate the S-Card system with legacy systems like the educational management system, this thesis used.net framework from Microsoft at the implementation stage. At the end of this thesis, the author tested both the function and performance of the S-Card system for high schools, and analyzed the testing results at the same time. Finally, the author concluded this thesis.The S-Card system for high school detailed in this thesis carries many virtues, and some of them are as follows:1. Introducing the role of parents to help high school manage students.2. Using modularized developing method to make the system not only meet the needs for one school, but also can expand to others.3. Adding checking-in module to get students’ location in class and dormitory.4.Developing the unified identity authentication system integrated with the educational management system.
