Since the popularization of internet, the teaching management model of domestic and overseas universities has gradually shifted attention from labor management to the management through varieties of information management systems. Not only have teaching affair management and academic exchange become reliant on network, but also course information system management has diverted its attention to open network of internet. In the course of higher education, focus should be put on encouraging teachers to cultivate their teaching individuality, stimulating teacher’s enthusiasm in course innovation, developing students’ interest, and improving students’ ability to understand and apply knowledge. For this reason, a growing number of universities have suggested applying the management model of course center. The construction of course center on campus network is intended for the improvement in university’s existing management model, serving as one of the important approaches to demonstrating university’s teaching level. In this thesis, the development of ASP.NET-based digital course center is proposed. The author mainly introduces the project background of digital course center in Jinling Institute of Technology, the technologies applied to system development, and the process of system design and development. Apart from this, the author also sums up development experience to present future development orientation of this system. In this thesis, focus is firstly put on introducing the existing background of digital course center in Jinling Institute of Technology, analyzing relevant existing systems, and making a summary about the system from the perspective of demand analysis. Afterwards, efforts are spent in introducing the technologies applied to system development and then the framework, system structure drawing, and database design of course center system, and the module functions and their implementation. This system relies on B/S structure, using ASP.NET, Visual Studio, and C# to accomplish the development of presentation layer and business logic layer. With the former primarily consisting of page design and implementation and the latter aiming to fulfill service requests, backend database processes the data by means of SQL Server 2005. The system is equipped with three types of user login permissions with different application functions: first, administrator user, arranged to maintain the system and manage system functions, is capable of adding, deleting and modifying the roles of the system; second, teacher user is allowed to modify individual information, upload course resources, view bulletin information, and so on; third, student user can download course resources, raise questions, submit homework, and so on. The interface of the system is user-friendly, convenient to operate, and characterized by strong portability and diverse functions. It has provided an efficient and convenient environment for the university’s management course, a broad display platform for teachers’ personalized courses, and an approach for students to acquire learning resources and after-class guidance. The use-case test has verified all the functions of the system and proved their applicability.
