In recent years, information systems develop towards miniaturized, multi-tasked and networked ones. For various platforms in the future, multi-waveform and multi-link integrated application will become the prominent feature, requiring communication system with multi-band and multi-channel capability, so as to achieve interoperability between various platforms, which presents higher requirement for communication equipment. In addition, a small platform will also face restrictions on payload requirements and high reliability. In response to this problem, the United States proposed the Joint Tactical Radio System(JTRS) scheme, which can be compatible with a variety of communication systems and a variety of waveforms through the SCA framework, featuring dynamic loading with open architecture.This paper, to address the problem described above, focusing on JTRS SCA core software architecture, studies the SCA-based waveform design and core framework development technology, and produces the tentative core framework software with functions of software dynamic loading, unloading and deploying.Key techniques of SCA includes domain profile and core framework. Among them, domain profile is the pillar and foundation of the whole SCA system. Data items in domain profile defines the behavior of the whole SCA system, therefore, they are the pillar and foundation of the whole SCA core framework. The core framework is the basis of controlling software behavior of the whole system. It defines the process flow of waveform loading, unloading, reconstruction and fault management.The research of this paper focused on applying SCA design method in system. An applicable miniaturized core framework is formed by exploring the way of combining SCA framework with existing system design and conducting compliance and scalability design in many aspects such as system architecture, resource management, software deployment, interface and waveform loading configuration. And on this basis, a demonstration system is introduced to demonstrate its feasibility and the sectors requiring optimization.In the research, SCA application in smaller system is adaptively tailored, and a design method combining expandable mark language(XML) and SCA is used for adapting system interfaces and applications.The result indicates that these methods can significantly improve system portability and reconfigurability. The resource management sofware,which was developed based on SCA core framework,has been successfully used in the communication simulation model of CETC-10 Institute.In this research work, the author mainly completed the following items:1) research on SCA domain profile specification;2) research on SCA core framework specification;3) research of waveform loading and unloading process based on SCA;4) resource management software design and implementation based on SCA;5) design and implementation of hardware platform for various waveform software, e.g. V/UHF, L-band, etc.;6) design of general purpose interface(GPI) between waveform software, combining extensible markup language(XML).
