With The accelerating fusion of Internet and location information, the Research and application of location-based services are popular in people’s life and in various industries, and the Location-aware service has become a popular part of the study.To achieve the location-aware services, the first problem is to obtain the information of position. Femtocell is also called femto base station, that the main deployment scenarios including home, companies, shopping malls and other indoor places. The characteristics of Femtocell are low-power, low-cost, easy to access, covering accurately and plug and play. Simultaneously it does not require to planning a new frequency, nor the need to build a traditional indoor distribution system. These Features make Femtocell is more efficient and precise than other similar location positioning technology. Universal Plug and Play(UPn P) is a common peer-to-peer networking architecture which applies to interconnecting variety of smart devices. It’s this kind of design can provide more surrounding environment information than the single location information.This thesis aimed at the problem of how to provide location-aware services efficiently. The main contents and innovations of this thesis is described as followed:Firstly, the designing and application of the combination of Femtocell and location-aware services is studied. The location-aware services will achieve more accurately and efficiently information by based on the new architecture which combined with Femtocell.Secondly, adding more location information for a single positioning information. The principle of UPn P protocol is investigated. The server will provide more personalized service by obtianing the intelligent device information in the LAN with libupnp.Thirdly, a set of communication protocol is designed. the data transmission between the Femtocell and the backend server is completed by using Protocol Buffers data exchange technology.Fourthly, a set of I/O framework is designed. Based on classic network programming Reactor pattern, a set of event driven I/O framework is designed. The related processing of business processes in the backend server are based on the this I/O framework to implemented.Fifthly, the location-aware server was designed and implemented by applicating the above studies.
