With the high requirements by microwave communication system on the device performance, small size, low insertion loss has become a major trend. Power divider with bandpass filtering-response by integrating both filter and power divider together can reduce the circuit size, lower costs, reduce insert loss, which attracts attention of scholars all of the world. This paper integrates design concepts of both filter and power divider, and design some multi-way and multi-band power divider with bandpass response.First, some planar four-way power dividers with bandpass response have been proposed. First, based on coupled microwave strip, a broadband planar four-way power divider has been proposed. In order to improve the selectivity of the passband, open stubs are used and another broadband planar four-way power divider with high selectivity has been presented based on symmetric structure. Second, based on three-mode resonator, a broadband power divider has been proposed, and the entire circuit does not include coupling structure, which can reduce the machining difficulty.Finally, a four-way power divider with single narrow band based on quarter-wavelength resonator, source-load coupling, slot-line isolation technique is proposed. Equivalent circuit analysis has been used to analyze these circuits, and the final tests verify the design method.Second, several power dividers with dual-band and tri-band bandpass response have been presented. Half-wavelength resonator loaded with short stubs and open stubs,quarter-wavelength SIR with one end grounded, and improved SIR have been used to design these power dividers. For the dividers based on SIR, the second harmonic passband is moved near the fundamental passband to realize a desired passband. The multi-band filters are embedded in Wilkinson power divider to achieve the integration of the two devices. Additional transmission zeros have been generated by using source-load coupled structure to improve the passband selectivity. Equivalent circuit analysis has been used to analyze these power dividers and the simulation and experimental results show good agreement, and verify the feasibility of the analysis.
