T/R component is the core component of the active phased array radar. With the development of millimeter wave radar technology and microwave technology, the T/R component become miniaturization, multifunction, low cost, high reliability, as well as high frequency direction. Due to the shorter wavelength and higher radar performance requirements and other objective factors, puts forward more stringent requirements on the millimeter wave TR component volume. To overcome this difficulty, various measures have taken to reduce the millimeter wave T/R component volume, as well as increase the output power components around the word.Therefore, on the basis of the previous works, and combined with the development trend of T/R component, according to the actual requirements of millimeter wave phased array radar, monolithic circuit is mainly utilized to decrease the size of millimeter wave T/R component. Moreover, in order to make full use of the space between the components, multi-channel technology is used in this design. In consideration of power amplifier with large area, which width is more than half of the wavelength, the double channel T/R is designed in signal module, two amplifiers placed in stagger position to optimize the layout, and considering the power amplifier heat dissipation from the three-dimensional space.The T/R component is a functional module, so the configuration and fabricated crafts are discussed at the first in this thesis. Then the targets of the receiver link and transceiver link are assigned respectively. At the same time, CAD software is adopted to optimize the design of microwave transceiver link gain, power, amplitude and other characteristics. With the help of CAD software, the circuit layout is optimized to avoid interference, coupling and other unfavorable factors. To further reduce power consumption and improve the stability of the circuit module, the transceiver power supply is designed as time-sharing circuit. The whole module used the micro assembly technology of fabrication to ensure the electrical performance. At the end of the thesis, the proposed module is measured as following:the whole microwave circuit area is only 96×8mm2, transmitting power is more than 31dBm, with gain flatness 1dB in the operating band, the receiving gain is better than 15dB, with gain flatness 1.5dB in the operating band. To sum up, the measured data shows the millimeter wave multi channel T/R component achieves the system requirements basically. And verify the rationality and validity of the design procedure. The test results also show that the performances of T/R component can be further improved, as the larger output power, smaller volume, better consistency and higher reliability.
