| With the rapid development of computer network technology in today’s society, computers are not only used in scientific computing, but also used in industrial control, large factories and business management. Actually computers nowadays are more for most people’s work, live daily work-related, transaction processing and all kinds of management information system. With the recent development of multimedia hardware and lower prices, the archive management is drastically influenced by the information technology revolution.In order to be more efficient, fast and stable in management of multi-media video archives, the thesis designed and implemented a web-based multi-media video archives system. The system is based on the B/S architecture in which the PHP technology is used. And the PostgreSQL is the backend database system.The system mainly implemented following functions: 1) Management of video archives’ directories in database. 2) Set up Multi-media video archive database through collection and archiving of the system. 3) Functions like browsing, searching, statistics, directory management, data maintenance of the video archives. 4) Play video archives online. 5) Allow users to search, browse, watch videos on demand, and download video copies through the video archive system.After testing and inspection, the multimedia video file management system is more comprehensive and modern electronic records management capabilities to meet the needs of the development of records management, which greatly facilitates the work of enterprises and file management, file management standardization modern workflow. |
