FBG as an optical fiber, widely applied to communications, sensing, engineering, military and other industries. To study the optical properties of the basic characteristics of the new structure and corrosion FBG fiber grating of this paper is simulated by MATLAB and Rsoft simulation software.The fain contents of this paper are as follows:1. First chapter of the paper mainly introduces the history, current situation of the development of optical passive fiber grating. Study the basic properties of uniform fiber Bragg gratings and chirped fiber Bragg grating. Simulation analysis of the chirp coefficient, reflection spectrum apodization function under different circumstances, delay and dispersion of light, and introduces the concept of chirped fiber dispersion compensation.2. Introduction of the evanescent wave FBG principle, also known as evanescent wave FBG fiber grating line corrosion by hydrofluoric acid(Hydrofluoric Acid, HF) corrosion of some or all of the cladding fiber grating even core, changing the original structure to changes in the external environment is more sensitive to the refractive index. The refractive index of the external environment can be divided into two types: one is isotropic homogeneous medium, the other is anisotropic inhomogeneous media.3. The proposed three kinds of structural corrosion FBG, including: cladding corrosion haplotypes FBG, single-ended corrosion type FBG, single-ring erosion type FBG. The main study when the external environment is an isotropic liquid medium, different fiber grating structure corrosion or external corrosion depth varies refractive index of these two parameters, due to changes in the fiber grating reflection spectrum, simulation results can be seen in different corrosion of structural changes in the reflection spectrum of different, different sensitivities, so you can design according to the actual needs of different corrosion fiber grating structure.4. The clad fiber Bragg grating is completely HF etched using anisotropic media for its packaging, the fiber grating has anisotropic cladding structure. Chosen as an anisotropic uniaxial crystal material research, since a uniaxial crystal structure is relatively simple anisotropic material,x, y, z three mutually orthogonal axis. Select a different uniaxial crystal material as a cladding material(ambient refraction for anisotropic media), due to select different uniaxial crystal material,external electric field or sensitive strain field, the simulation results can be seen in changes in theBragg reflection spectra, proposed the concept of electric field tunable optical switches and tunable optical switch stress.
