For linear antennas for communication, we usually analyze the radiationcharacteristics in a homogeneous isotropic medium. Research shows that the atmosphereand the Earth’s surface have shown a certain macroscopic properties of uniaxialanisotropy, in these related applications, so research the linear antennas’ radiationcharacteristics in uniaxial anisotropy medium is more practical significance. This paperaims to study the linear antennas’ radiation characteristics in anisotropic medium, comparative analysis the linear antennas’ radiation characteristics in isotropic mediumand anisotropic medium and seek some understanding of the laws in theory.Firstly, according to the basic idea of linear antennas’ radiation characteristics, makeuse of the current element Green’s function in an isotropic medium, using numericalintegration methods to establish any linear antenna current distribution ofelectromagnetic fields calculation method. By calculating the half-wave dipole’selectromagnetic fields and half-wave dipole’s normalized orientation function, we verifythe feasibility of the method.Secondly, based on electromagnetic theory without coordinates, obtain the currentelement Green’s function in anisotropic medium. Using numerical integration methods, establish an arbitrary linear antenna, arbitrary current distribution of electromagneticfields calculation method. By calculating the ring current element electromagnetic fieldsand magnetic dipoles electromagnetic fields, we verify the feasibility of the method.Lastly, according to the previously established calculation method of linearantennas’ radiated electromagnetic fields in isotropic and anisotropic medium, comparative analysis the half-wave dipoles’ radiation characteristics and helical antennas’radiation characteristics. Get some meaningful conclusions, the maximum radiationvalue’s location in isotropic media and the maximum radiation value’s location inanisotropic media is same. These conclusions have a very important significance to antenna design inanisotropic background., for example, multi-component electromagnetic propagation logging antenna system design.
