The second-generation of 3D technology known as auto-stereoscopic display technology represented by lenticular, with its advantages of excellent viewing without wearing glasses or other devices, has replaced the first generation of 3D technology known as glasses stereo display technology to become the mainstream of current 3D technology industry. Even though 3D display brings many benefits to viewers, but not any information should be displayed in 3D because 2D still live in most of our life. As a result, the technology which can display 3D and 2D in the same machine is needed. Besides, human-computer interaction techniques is a hot research.As a convenient, intuitive, fast way of human-computer interaction, touch technology has been widely used in recent years. There are many ways to realize touch technology, but in the large size 3D display, infrared touch technology has the advantages of low cost, strong anti-interference, environmental adaptability,etc. As the 3D display is not smooth, so it’s good to choose the non-contact way to realize 3D display.This paper is researched on 2D/3D compatible display by infrared multi-touch technology, including the multi-touch system structural design, debug and optimization algorithm and the realization of the system test of work:1. The structure design of the flexible modular. The hardware and software of infrared touch system used in this project is required to meet from 30 to 80 inches or larger size displays, so it is necessary to research on touch screen hardware and software of flexible modular design for the goal of quick design for different size displays.2. An algorithm of fast coordinates calculating-writing and debugging of "cast pot" algorithm. Because the system is based on the principle of low-power, low-cost, which means the small hardware memory and the limited computing ability, so proposes a fast coordinates calculating algorithm-"cast pot" algorithm, to achieve rapidly, real-time, accurate calculation of the coordinate points is needed. Also, the writing and debugging of the algorithm is included in this paper.3. The optimization of the "cast pot" algorithm. For improving the performance of the real-time in the "cast pot" algorithm which is first proposed by the team, we optimized the coordinates solver algorithm and have proposed a new algorithm.4. The debugging of the hardware and software. According to the requirements of the system design and in order to realize debug, this paper completes the writing of the PC test software, the PCB design of the system and installation and debugging of the 50 inch display.
