VANET is an ultra large-scale self-organizing networks constituted by the RSU and OBU, Which can improve the road driving conditions effectively, electronic toll collection, entertainment, information access and download services, can effectively improves the road driving environment, and provides the real-time alerts and traffic-induced accident information for drivers, so it thus has a high application prospect and research value. However, with the constantly enrich VANET applications, VANET may face a series of privacy and security issues which relate to communications insecurity, malicious tracking, information leaks, etc. These problems attracted people’s attention gradually, especially privacy protection issues have become national experts to research hot spot for this years.The protection content includes all aspects of privacy, and it involves to not only the aspects of public moral, social legal, but also the technical level. The privacy of VANET include three areas, for example, location information, identity information, data information, to ensure the information in vehicle network communication process can be reached completely and effectively, safety certification can not be ignored Anonymous refers to hide the true identity information of communication objectes, which is the key technology to protect privacy of VANET. A pseudonym technology is one kind of these technologies, it makes anonymous identity information to the public mainly through pseudonyms conditions privacy means, and when the accident occurred the CA can effectively trace and identify the true identity of the vehicle.Focus on privacy protection technology, mainly about the conditions of the vehicle node and the actual distribution of roadside units, a framework suitable for classification and certification of VANET has been proposed in this thesis. Based on classification authentication framework and Public Key Infrastructure PKI, the thesis gives a conditional privacy-protection message authentication algorithm based on a hash message authentication code, the method uses the pseudonym technology, and dynamically changing pseudonyms in the communication process, It also discussed the large delay problems of search algorithm in the process of the revoked Certificate inspection in view of the existing Certificate Revocation List, using technology to generate certificate hash chain version number for certificate management,and using encrypted Hash Message Authentication Code technology,which can effectively reduce certification authenticate delays, in terms of revoked certificates check.Finally, The thesis analyzes the privacy effectiveness, the security and the performance, illustrates the conditional privacy-protection message authentication algorithm which based on a hash message authentication code, which can effectively reduce certification delay and message loss rate, while ensure security.
