The Design And Implementation Of Student Information Management System

This system was designed on the basis of the student information administration in Shanghai Sipo Polytechnic. In order to strengthen information management of students, the school need to develop the relevant system.In this way staff can effectively manage student information and improve work efficiency,but faced with the fact of staff shortage and the relatively low entry requirement in the school, the student information system must be easy to use, so I developed this student information management system. After a detailed introduction of the system background, and an understanding of the basic requirement as well as function analysis, I further carried on the procedure of system design, development, improvement and test. Finally I finished this thesis. The users of this system include students and teachers.It can be divided into eleven modules, which include system basic function, announcement management,teacher management,student management,curriculum management,class management,teacher arrangement,file management,activity management,student achievement management and curriculum etc. In this paper,tables and illustrations are used to show the development of each module of the system implementation,describes how the student information management system use ASP.NET technology to realize the project development,and present the final effect. The system uses SQL Server 2005 as database,adopts ASP.NET technology,and uses Visual Studio 2008 for development. It also uses C# as a serverside language with the combination of Jquery and Ajax technology. Dreamweaver,Photoshop and other tools are also adopted to assist the development. The Web sites is established by IIS server.The system is currently in trial operation. it is found that the operation is stable and easy to use, which can improve the efficiency of teachers’ administration work. It is therefore more convenient for the administrator to know the students’ detailed information. This system is even easy to use for the staff who cannot operate computer very well.
