In the traditional work attendance checking methods such as manual attendance, time clocks, IC cards or magcards, the behaviors, like helping others punch cards or sign names, always appear. Although the artificial interventions are implemented in the work attendance checking, the above problems still can’t be solved completely because of the limitation of technical methods. With the development of modern science and biotechnology, especially, with the maturity of the fingerprint identification technology, the opportunities are brought to the development of the new work attendance checking methods. The biggest advantage of fingerprint identification is its reliability and accuracy. Through the research and analysis, everyone’s fingerprints are not exactly the same, and everyone’s fingerprints will never change for a lifetime, so it can identify the identification information reliably through the analysis of fingerprint signature of one person.In order to solve the disadvantages of the traditional work attendance checking methods, this dissertation proposes to fund a classroom attendance system based on fingerprint identification. The chief research contents are as follows:1. The research of the application situation of fingerprint identification technology.Through the investigation and study of the application situation of fingerprint identification technology at home and abroad, this dissertation offer a clear insight into the main application background, application occasions and the development process of the application of fingerprint identification technology. Thus it leads to this idea: the attendance system can be realized by applying the fingerprint identification technology.2. The research of business process and functional requirements of the attendance system.For the attendance system, this dissertation makes the full investigation and research on these contents including the organization structure, personnel type, business process, application occasions, and business data flow and so on. Based on the above content, it establishes the function architecture of the system and it accomplishes the requirement analysis.3. The research of system architecture.Based on the results of requirement analysis and the application occasions of the attendance system, through the investigation and research on the current mainstream system architecture, this dissertation finally decides to adopt the three-layer architecture, C/S mode to accomplish the system. Under the LAN environment of school, it can supply the greater efficiency of data access and the higher data security to adopt C/S model, and the three-layer architecture, in which the data display, logic processing and database access are separated strictly, can ensure the easier maintenance and function expansion of the system.4. The design and implementation of attendance system.This dissertation makes the study and research on the basic theoretical knowledge of requirement analysis, system design, coding and testing and so on, and it establishes the technical route of this system, in which the.NET is taken as the platform, C# programming language and SQL SERVER database are adopted. Based on the above, combining with the results of requirement analysis, this dissertation designs and accomplishes a attendance system that is suitable for the vocational school by adopting the software engineering technology, database technology and object oriented programming(OOP) technology and so on.
