With the rapid development of economy, enterprise scale is getting larger and larger. Different departments are distributing in different areas, even different city. But current fingerprint work attendance systems are either single machine version or based on LAN, and these systems' performance couldn't meet the challenge of practical applications under the condition of large scale and being used during a short time. On the one hand, attendance-check task should be completed in given interval and within a short time, on the other hand, many enterprises and public institutions are getting larger and larger with large quantity of employees, all these put forward higher requirement to the higher performance of work attendance system.In order to solve these problems, this dissertation selects the development and application of network-based fingerprint work attendance system as research topic to develop and design network-based fingerprint work attendance system and mainly studies one of the key arithmetic of this system, multi-level fingerprint indexing technology in large scale fingerprint database. The main content of the dissertation is:1. Requirement analysis of network-based fingerprint work attendance system. This chapter gives a detailed description the function requirement of network-based fingerprint work attendance system and presents its non-functional requirement. This dissertation investigated and summarized the requirement of teachers and students of School of Computer and Technology, Shandong University, and using UML (Unified Modeling Language) as the model visualization tools to analyze the system.2. System design of network-based fingerprint work attendance system. This paper uses hybrid system pattern of C/S and B/S. The manager and teacher attendance check task is designed to use C/S pattern and students' inquiry is designed to use B/S pattern. This design put both dominant features together and pattern of three levels is used in B/S pattern students' inquiry. MVC design pattern is used as system design, and separate the fingerprint identification arithmetic, system function and user interface to design to improve system security and system integration.3. Research of multi-level fingerprint indexing arithmetic. As one of the key arithmetic of network-based fingerprint work attendance systems, the paper deeply researched the arithmetic of fingerprint classification and indexing in large fingerprint database, put forward and realized fingerprint classification arithmetic on multi-level indexing and applied in network fingerprint work attendance system. The test result showed that this method has good robustness and value of application.Network-based fingerprint work attendance system proposed by this paper has the characteristic of stable property, faster fingerprint matching speed, friendly user interface and simple operation, etc. The system could stimulate the potential demands of marketplace, improve the economy' development and has good industrial perspective.
