A Study Of The Design And Key Question Of The Students Fingerprint Attendance Checking System

As an important link of teaching management in school as well as the basis for thesafety of students, students’ attendance work is the key to the strength of the schoolteaching management and the norm of students learning life. Today, the personnelattendance management business unit has developed to a biometric technology erawhile the student attendance management in school still remains in the traditionalway of teacher roll call. There are many problems in this way, such as:time-consuming, omission, no on-time reflection of attendance in manual call. Inspite of the use of campus card on campus, there are still problems such as punchedcard by others and easy loss. However, the biological recognition attendance systemsuch as fingerprint attendance system on market is aimed at the attendancemanagement in institutions, which is not suitable for student attendance in schooldue to the differences in the management style.In view of this situation, this paper is targeted at the students fingerprintattendance system which is suitable for classroom management that is thecombination of the attendance management system in school with the design offingerprint identification technology. Firstly, the research background is outlinedhere, and also the development of personnel attendance system and the theoreticalfoundation of fingerprint identification technology. Secondly, design the system onthe analysis of the system requirements, which includes the analysis of thesystematic physical structure and the design of function structure and databaseespecially the study of the key issues on the system. The function of the system iscarried out by the system architecture of the combination of C/S and B/S. Theattendance management system, attendance system, Web attendance system andfingerprint machine network monitoring software and server automatic attendancesystem are developed.At present, the system has been put into use in Yongchun normal school for aperiod of time which has greatly improved the attendance situation. It has the overall stable performance, timely and accurate record the students’ attendance andconvenient query and statistics which provides scientific basis for students rewardsand punishments and management; at the same time, teachers and staff can beliberated from the cumbersome name and statistical summary which makes theattendance management more scientific and efficient. System development hasachieved the design target. At the end of the paper also put forward the deficienciesof this system as the improvement direction of the next step, which will make thesystem towards perfect.
