As the computer technology grows rapidly recently,the embedded system performan ce develops well. And it drives system applications and reliabilities naturally. However, the embedded system power consumes more than before simultaneously. To gain the best banlance between the system functions and the power dissipation, the research on lower power consumption has received more and more attention. Through the adoption of high efficiency and energy saving used on the CPU, the server and peripheral equipments, Green Computing makes full use of various resources to achieve the goals of the lower power consumption. The new calculation method is related to many factors of computers, such as architecture, CPU, operating system, communication network, the compiler, and so on. These factors are closely related to energy consumption, and the research process is also very complex. The subject is of great research significance, and de CORE OS has a pivotal position in the field of automotive electronics.Low power consumption theory research mainly includes the underlying hardware low-power technologies, the upper software design, and etc. Power optimization techniques on the source program structure level includes data type optimization, program structure rearrangement and expression optimization; power optimization technologies on algorithm level includes repeating data elimination, data structure improvement, data storage space compression and algorithm selection; power optimization techniques on software system structural level includes the merging and splitting between components, component replacement, software architecture style transformation. This paper puts forward the corresponding improvement methods and the specific realization methods which will be covered in detail in this article.During the research on low power consumption, we also need to apply the theory technologies to the specific operation system and the embedded development board. In this way, we will prove the feasibility of reducing power consumption on this research. By transplanting the de CORE OS to the NUC951 development board, and using the Lab VIEW and the data acquisition card embedded energy detection methods, we can contrast the difference in power consumption between before and after of the system optimization.
