The Implementation Of The GPS Technology In The Management Of Police Vehicles

The industry of applied Satellite Navigation, such as GPS, is internationally recognized as one of the eight wireless industries. With the development of technology and the uprising need for application requirements, GPS has spread into many application areas because of its outstanding characteristics of Round-the-clock Operation, Automation and High efficiency and its unique powerful functions of positing navigation and accurate measurement. The city construction is expanding, so the number of cars is also increasing. Therefore, the command and safety management of police cars have become a very important problem in police system.This paper introduces some methods to solve the problems mentioned above. Its main application is GPS positing technology. It is on the basis of the research on innovating management system of police cars and safety access to police internal network for GPS positing data. It does research on GPS positing technology in management application of police cars. The main contents of this paper are as followings:Firstly, it talks about the distributed-transact technologies(GPS, CDMA/GPRS, GIS), computer network technology and high scalable design. It gives a large amount of car information monitoring system, which will dynamically monitor the cars and safely manage their information on the basis of GPS.Secondly, it talks about the safety access to GPS positing data of police cars.Thirdly, it talks about the diversity requirement of GPS positing dada transmission network.Fourthly, it talks about the functions of looking for real time data, reviewing historical data and calling the police if trespassing or speeding.The structure of this paper is designed like this. The first chapter is Introduction. It gives a summary of the background of this research and its related basic concept. Then, it analyses the research situation of GPS technology application at present and points out their shortcomings. Finally it tells us what this research will do. The second chapter is Project Planning(Requirement Analysis). It introduces the design principles and function requirements of GPS. The third chapter introduces the key technologies thatare used in this research, such as Network construction and Boundary access. It also talks about the significance of these key technologies to this research. The fourth chapter is the design and implementation of this system. It includes the analysis and design of the main modules in this system. The fifth chapter introduces the methods and results of testing system. It also mentions the problems that may arise and gives us the solutions. The sixth chapter is about the conclusions and describes the future of further research.We should strengthen the management of police car use by making use of GPS positing technology. Only in this way can we prevent and decrease the traffic accidents for police cars. Then we can safeguard our good image and realize the further application of GPS positing technology.
