Due to the importance of geographical location and the plenty of development value, increasing number of radars focus on detection and search of coastal areas.However, the complicated characteristic of clutter, which is due to the complexity of the terrain scene, is different from the traditional ground clutter or sea clutter. The power spectrum and amplitude distribution exhibits complex characteristics. It is of great significance to study the clutter in specific environment.In view of the complex environment in coastal area, this paper firstly analyze the scattering mechanism of coastal clutter, and then respectively discuss two different coastal clutter model, which are based on the statistical model and the digital elevation model(DEM). Finally, simulate the clutter model and improve the simulation algorithm.The main content of the thesis is as follows:1. Coastal Clutter modeling and analysis according to the complex environment of coastal area. First of all, analyze the characteristics of clutter around the coastal areas, including the statistical properties and backscatter features of the specific areas clutter. Then, establish two kinds of the corresponding model. The key is the combination of data characteristics of DEM during the derivation of airborne radar clutter relational model in coastal area based on DEM. Finally, study power spectrum calculation method of coastal clutter based on DEM, which is of important theoretic value.2. Aimed at solving the problem of large amount of data of DEM and complex conditions of the coastal scene, the clutter is simulated based on the actual data of coastal DEM scene, according to real DEM data in coastal environment and requirements of solving power spectrum. Then, following the result of simulation processes, design and implement clutter software simulation system MFC-based interface. Finally generate clutter data results under the different conditions, and compare with the results of the statistical clutter model. The results showed that environment information of clutter simulation data obtained in this paper is of high fidelity, which presents great value in high-precision radar simulation3. Aimed at solving the problem of complicated calculation and slow computational speed. Study the parallel acceleration calculation method based on CUDA(Compute Unified Device Architecture) about coastal complex clutter simulation. First, a brief introduction to CUDA, and then concerning the CUDA optimization algorithm in clutter simulation, design the simulation processes. At last, put forward and implement the simulation algorithm based on CUDA and DEM. The analysis and comparison of the simulation results are carried out. The results show that the improved algorithm has two different speeds increase and increase the engineering applicability of DEM inhomogeneous clutter Model.
