To ensure the right and efficient attendance of mine personnel can not only improve mining efficiency, but also strengthen the supervision of the mine personnel. As one of the most vital parts of the mine personnel location system, uniqueness detection system, match-use with the marking cards, has played an important role in mine safety production.In consideration of relevant problems of multi-card, no cards and broken cards raised by mine personnel, a qualified directional antenna was designed. Combined with both signal attenuation and logic of uniqueness detection of the number of people, the detection of the numbers of the marking cards in detection area has implemented as well as the relevant problems mentioned above. This method can reach more than 93% of the multi-card detection rate, multi-card false alarm rate is below 1%.In view of the problem of matching cards to personnel, human face detection and recognition identification module is designed, too. Through facial features of Haar and Adaboost algorithm, the detection is effective and accurate. By extracting LBP features of the tested faces, face recognition has proved effective in the laboratory. What’s more, AAM model is used for a better match to human faces. Through geometrical characteristics extracted from facial features and face similarity calculated by weighted matching method, the final face matching is conformed. Tests showed that the method can achieve 94% recognition rate under the special environment.The experiment shows that the uniqueness detector designed can complete the detection of mine personnel accurately and effectively. Due to the cooperation of the detection modules, the detection rate presents high and false alarm low. In a word, the efficient detection task of mine personnel can be fulfilled.
