China Coal Distance Education Network( hereinafter referred to as the "Coal Distance Education Network") is organized by the Chinese Coal Industry Association. This is the first Chinese training center responsible for teaching the operation and daily management. This is also the first modern distance education and training network to serve industry talent development characteristics in nationwide coal enterprises.After a nearly decade of development, the online broadcast platform has been developed from a single platform to a one network four platform system, which include remotely broadcast network platform as the main set, remote broadcast network platform, the Internet online platform, enterprise LAN platform and cable companies platform as subset. With the increase of the broadcast platform, expansion of network functions, change of program format, program planning, program production and program broadcast. All those changes means the original program storage and extensive management methods can not meet the needs of daily management.This paper forcused on those problems, using UML unify modeling technology, object-oriented technology and content management theory as the basis to reseach the issue in program planning, production, broadcasting and integrated management. In order to develop coal-based content management Distance Education network program management system.The major projects in which I participated are as followings:1.Integrate modeling the management system of coal distant education network by UML Unified Modeling Language. UML offers 9 kinds ofmodeling methods. Based on the actual requirement of the systemdevelopment, this article describes the modeling process focused on the use of case diagram, class diagrams, and sequence diagrams.2.Object-oriented programming techniques for system development.Considering the development process of Distance Education Network and the multiple factors of the uncertainty in future, object-oriented programming techniques will benefit for the technical support of future system development upgrades and expansion.3. Research and offer the basic needs of the system. Coal Distance Education Network is a network system involved a variety of department and people. The program management is relying on the relevant departments and personnel. As in the early stages of development, departments and staff positions often change, the analysis of needs is more important.4. Research and offer the system module and related functions.Software functionality is the key part of the system development. The ultimate goal for software is efficient and useful. Modular needs to be rational designed, and the functional division needs to be compatible to the daily work.
