The Internet of things, integrated with IntelliSense, network, and embedded software techniques, has been widely used in the various fields, such as transportation control, city management, public safety, and medical health, etc. The problem of asset management is always encountered in any company or enterprise. Especially for fixed assets, our purpose is not only to manage but also to achieve real-time monitoring. The asset management system, based on the networking technology, uses RFID technology to mark and information medium of RFID card to track fixed assets. As a means of typing information, scanning the RFID card of the fixed assets can greatly improve the efficiency of inventory checking work while guarantee the correspondence between the data flow and assets, which can realize real time and all weather monitoring for the information and position of assets. Once abnormal situation occur in the assets, the system can inform managers in time by playing sound, sending text messages, and making calls. By establishing a fixed assets management system based on the networking technology, it can avoid arbitrariness of the asset management, improve efficiency of information processing of the assets, and insure inquiries and positioning accurate, timely, and effective. In the networking, the system can individually manage the assets in independent machine room, and manage the assets distributed in different rooms by unit Network, which accomplish the fixed assets management of systematization, standardization, and networking. The asset management system based on networking technology, through real-time sensing among all the connected things, implement management and monitoring in the whole life cycle of the fixed assets. Hence, it further accelerates the intellectualizing process of asset management in every industry.To better manage fixed assets, this thesis discusses the architecture, deployment, and business operation of the fixed assets management system that base on networking technology. The system utilizes advanced radio frequency identification(RFID) technology to label the fixed assets, and exploits information medium of RFID card to track the fixed assets. As a means of information input, the system uses scan terminals to scan RFID card on the fixed assets. This can greatly improve efficiency of fixed asset management, while ensure information flow match with assets flow.The project realizes automation, standardization, systematization, and programming of the fixed assets management, and avoids its arbitrariness. This improves the speed and accuracy of information processing, and increase economic efficiency by a drop in the cost of management.
