Based on the business characteristics and demands from Guilin city and its county, and demands of the decision-making by related government departments. To construct a data processing system based on automatic weather station and B/S architecture to adapt to modernized meteorological forecast and early warning work. It will help, such as staffs like meteorological department, government decision makers, workers from meteorologically relevant departments, to share data from automatic weather station timely and facilitate meteorological monitoring and provide early warning service. Therefore, it is of great significance that this research will provide a solid foundation for decision making of every department and reduces the loss from meteorological disasters and of a very important significance to our society.The subject of this research is the data processing system of automatic meteorological station in Guilin. It mainly analyzed and studied the design idea, design principles and systematic characteristics of the data processing system of automatic weather station based on B/S architecture. Besides, it also analyzed the overall technical framework and function modules of the system structure, and offers a detailed analysis on the key techniques during the process of implementation of design. The whole data processing system consists of hardware systems and software systems. Under such two parts, it has six modules, such as information network transmission module, database module, data transmission control module, elements statistics module, report generation module, security control module. Thereinto, the information network transmission module and the security control module is given priority to hardware system. It can use database technology such as Visual C#, SQL Server 2008 to programming technologies such as ASP.NET to achieve the development of data processing system of automatic meteorological station. The system employs the MVC architecture and the whole constructing process should follow the design rules of structural stability, reusability, extensibility, maintainability, cohesion, composability, loose coupling, security and privacy. In order to ensure the security of information system, it uses distributed storage scheme to design storage structure, set up three servers to consist the whole data processing system with B/S architecture. These three servers are for storing data file, for warehousing data into database and for Web portal respectively. And operation system of the servers is Microsoft Windows Server 2008. On the one hand, we can use various security strategis based on software such as permission settings, password protection and port restrictions. On the other hand, it also can implement hierarchical classification for authorized users( e.g. administrator user, ordinary users, internal departments, etc.) based on hardware, such as allocate hardware firewall in a web portal area and build internet network security channel using Cisco VPN router. Users from different levels have different permissions to access to information from automatic meteorological station.In the process of completion of research project, the researchers conducted some practical technologies and their future development in the field of object-oriented design(OOD), ASP.NET Web programming, database building and using. The researchers also consolidate knowledge of virtual private network, router, and security of information network based on hardware firewall.
