In the study of rock and soil materials and their properties, thorough exploration about rock and soil environment and other aspects of the situation, it is almost impossible to study a. Now each science and technology leap, especially computer advances, in the study of rock and soil structure, also have introduced a number of new technology application, the development of computer and electronic microscope, the microstructure of rock and soil, provide necessary convenience. The electron microscope technology, as well as the development of DIP, the rock and soil micro structure study work more easily to achieve a breakthrough.This research is mainly to study, from two aspects: first, put forward the research process in the geotechnical engineering problems, the microstructure is a key factor, these factors mainly refers to explore the process of micro structure, and its research status and influence on engineering property; second, also introduced in the research process on the microstructure in, the importance of DIP technology, combined with the basic flow and the technology. Finally explains several image processing in the major common language, the basic principle of image pixels, digital conversion and bitmap concepts and their.In this article uses the software for the Image- Pro Plus 6.0, it is a practical Image analysis software, the Image analysis process of this paper is based on the software of this paper is based on the analysis of micro rock and soil particles, the establishment of a microscopic particles related parameter data sets, and precise calculation of the total space of microscopic particles in proportion to the aggregation of the internal spaceTo make the analysis of rock and soil microstructure is more convenient and accurate, this paper using VB programming language to design a practical in this study the application of this procedure is used for processing by IPP6.0 software calculated data sets, which can fast obtain the result of the experiment, laid a solid foundation for the geotechnical analysis research, provide the working efficiency.
