Country pays more attention, invest and fund to vocational education in recent years, a technical training school has a lot of change in the last five years. The number of student of school has increased from 3000 to 5000. The leader of school are aware of the importance of information construction to school, they bought a batch computer device to improve the informationalzied environment of school. At present, school bought some application software system such as office automation system, educational administration management information system, network monitoring system, etc. But these systems are developed by different manufacturers, after running a certain amount of time, its disadvantages are gradually revealed. On the one hand, because each manufacturer use different standards and technical means to develop system, which cause the integration of these application systems is difficult. On the other hand, due to the maintainence fixed number of year expired, the upgrade of system must pay a certain funds.At present, the library management system of school used C/S structure. Implementation model adopted the client complete interface display and application logic and the server complete the transaction logic and data management. In this way, representation part and application logic part are tightly coupled, which apply to relatively simple, little data traffic. To solve the above problems, improve the efficiency of books management, reduce the working strength, developing a good generality, openness system architecture, strong management function, friendly interface, convenient application, easy to expand and high safety of modern library management information system has important practical significance.The library management system of this dissertation runs on the campus network, it is IC library management system base on B/S model. The dissertation selects SQL Server2008 database as background and selects Microsoft Visual Studio.NET and ASP.net as main development tools. The dissertation completes the implemention of function modules. The process of development comprehensively uses winsock communication technology, the ODBC database access technology, Windows API and a series of advanced technology.
