Terminal guidance radar is a key application of modern radar. Its signal processing results directly related to the final whether it blows on the target effectively. With today’s battlefield environment increasing complicated. Terminal guidance radar put forward higher requirements on detection, identification, tracking, anti-jamming, and anti-interception technology. In nature, Bats use a class of waveform system combined with CF and FM, when they prey. CF tend to detect moving target and according to the change of micro-doppler to identify target. FM makes good use of its range resolution to locate target. According to this biological phenomenon, this paper focus on PT-SF waveform and PM-NLSF waveform. Discuss the performance characteristics of these waveforms and the design of waveform parameters. Finally adopting a class of combination of waveforms based on the distance. In addition, This paper study deeply on the position prediction tracking algorithm. The key jobs and the main contributions as follows:1. This paper study deeply on the process of Bat prey, and briefly analyzed the transmitted waveform. And discuss the change of waveform at different stages. Bats can adjust transmit waveform according to the change of relative distance. This paper research composite waveform system used by bats,from the perspective of the ambiguity function.2.Reference the biological phenomenon on bat predation.Considering the demands of the detection performance which the long-range terminal guidance radar needs. Firstly study the design principle of PT-SF, the design of waveform parameters is divided into two parts, the coherent pulse train design and the PRF sets design.Then giving the theoretical relationship between the precision of range measurement and the confidence of range-resolving,combining measures which avoid blocking distance,finally confirm the design process of high pulse repetition frequency PT-SF.At last through the analysis of case simulation to verify the feasibility of method.3.Reference the biological phenomenon on bat predation.According to the demands of the detection performance which the short-range terminal guidance radar needs.Firstly study the design principle of FM-NLSF.Then study deeply on the existing suppression method of gate sidelobe to reduce the impact of the gate sidelobes after receiving echo signals.Finally determine the nonlinear frequency stepping through the approximate principle of window function.At last through the analysis of case simulation to verify the feasibility of method.4.This paper analyzes related technologies about waveform agile and waveform schedule. Respectively, from search and track mode,coordinate conversion, missile and target motion model, tracking filter algorithm to study deeply. Focus on the a more general class of cubature Kalman filter.The algorithm overcome the shortcomings that conventional CKF is difficult to construct higher-degree CKF and yields low level estimation in many nonlinear problems.5.Finally, according to the above studies. Firstly, in the GUI integrated environment,according to the design method, under the demands of waveform to design parameters.In addition, this paper under the intercept scene of onboard terminal guidance to compare the proposed combination of waveforms with single waveform system.Through miss distance and flight time to verify the combination of waveforms has better blocking effect than a single waveform system.
