With the development of the satellite and the increasingly widespread application of the satellite communications protocols, the technology that blind identification of the wireless satellite protocol packets is imminent. The technology that blind analysis of the protocol packets feature has a wide range of applications in the field of information intercept, network monitoring, and security. And it has become a research focus in this field either theory or technology. This technology has important theoretical significance and application value. And it is becoming a new research topic.So far, in the field of Network Security and Information Confrontation, most people focus on studing protocol identification above transport-layer. But the data link-layer is located between the physical-layer and application-layer of the OSI model, and plays a connecting role. Obtain the target data stream through the physical layer investigation, and the protocol identification of link-layer is more importment. Because if we want to determine the target application protocol type, we should identify the type of link-layer protocol firstly.So this paper focuses on studing the key techniques of identification of wireless satellite communication protocols which are in space data link layer.This paper focuses on three problems:(1) The blind identification of protocol message format. We aim to dig the message formate in the same message set, including the protocol signature strings and its frequency and its position. We propose a method of blind identification of protocol message format by genetic algorithm.(2) The blind identification of wireless satellite communication protocol type. By analyzing and simulating protocol, we summarize the characteristics of those protocols and establish rule base for the protocol features to provide priori knowledge for the protocol identification. And propose the identification method of DVB-S, DVB-S2 and DVB-RCS.(3) The blind identification of wireless satellite communication protocol parameters. In this paper, the parameters are the parameters of scrambling code. We propose a method of scrambling code identification, which combines m message and convolution related attack algorithm. And in this part, three kinds of scrambling code identification methods which are came forward by others are analyzed. At last, we have given the contrast analysis of those methods.
