The emergence of We-media marks the beginning that audiences participate in cultural communication and interactions. The most typical way is Weibo, which enables rapid dissemination of information in a rocketing and viruses-like spreading way. Gradually it becomes a major way of information spreading. There is no doubt that We-media is a great challenge to traditional media. The special spreading way of We-media makes once marginalized audiences an indispensable part in the process of information dissemination. Thus, everyone can be disseminator in the New Media Age without distinctions between disseminators and recipients. Everyone could spread information as well as receive it. Therefore, the dissemination of information in We-media entirely depends on the will of the users, resulting in the neglect of the authenticity and reliability of information. All they care about is to attract people’s attention and raise click rate. Besides, due to some users’ low quality, many problems occurs in the information spreading, one of which is media violence. And the negative effects is more prevailing than those of the traditional media violence because of it unique way of spreading information, which is more difficult to bring under control.On the basis of those reasons mentioned above, the paper will focus on the issue of media violence in We-media and related regulating measures. This paper will begin with definitions of We-media and media violence. Then, the emergence of media violence and its characteristics will be examined. Chapter three will give extensive discussions on factors contributing to the emergence of media violence in We-media. Chapter four will analyze the negative effects and regulating measures of media violence in We-media.To sum up, the paper will examine the characteristics of media violence spreading in We-media, its contributing factors, negative effects and regulating measures. What needs to be particularly noted is that the paper will take Weibo which is one of the most popular We-media forms nowadays and add those contents mentioned above. This paper hopes to provide some suggestions and give some warnings to We-media users, so as to face media violence in We-media in joint efforts.
