With the rapid development of optical fiber communication technology, optical fiber transmission communication achieve full coverage of the modern information society basiclly. Because of the unique advantages in terms of signal transmission, polymer optical fiber are getting new wide range of applications in energy, medical, automation and industrial control systems. Especially in industrial control systems, control and data signals for transmission through the cable,will be affected by a variety of factors(including the strong electromagnetic field, the transmission distance, temperature, etc.), and polymer optical fiber can just help them overcome these problems. Optoelectronic devices is the core component of the entire polymer optical fiber communication systems for its data communications transmission. This article is focus on optoelectronic devices and do some work of the polymer optical fiber transceiver module.1. Starting from the basic research of the optical module, descripte the working principle and performance parameters of a series of optical active devices and passive devices. By analyzing the principle and structure of the emitter, such as the light-emitting diode (LED) and laser diode (LD), and the principle and structure of the receiver,such as PIN photodiode and the avalanche photodiode (APD), We analyzed the composition of the optoelectronic transceiver module.2. By analysis of the optoelectronic transceiver module, We design the circuit and select devices to performance testing, then analyze the phenomenon and result of the optoelectronic transceiver module when it transports data signals. On the condition of our Laboratory,We detect some market performances of the optoelectronic transceiver module to research whether they can meet the requirements of the data transmission in industrial control systems.3. For the possible application of the optical transceiver in the industrial areas, we use the existing polymer fiber optical transceiver modules,do some signal transmission test under different distance conditions. The original innovation spot and distinguishing features:1. Based on the advantage of the application in the industrial field for polymer optical fiber and the analysis and research of the fiber-optic transceiver modules, We selected the appropriate transceiver optical devices and achieved the5MBd rate transmission link. It cost less and meet industrial control requirements.2.With our own circuit, We designed a detection system of the optical transceiver module. Using this system, we can quickly determine whether the optoelectronic transceiver module can meet the industrial control requirements.
