With the development of scientific research management of universities, the demand is also increasing. At present, most universities have developed the scientific research management system. But there is no information system supporting for college scientific research management and complex query statistics are completed through collecting, collating and combing data by hand. Facing with those trouble, it is urgent to build a college scientific research management information system.To solve this problem and promote the construction of Digital Campus, this paper analysis and design the scientific research management information system for School of Software of Yunnan University (Yunnan Province Key Laboratory of software engineering) in order to improve the management level and efficiency, and provide better services for the management of the scientific research activities.The paper first introduces the background and significance of system research and then introduces the modelling method and realization techno logy it used. Then the paper analyses the business processes and reform the query statistics, using the use cases to make the system’s function clear. Gives package diagram, class diagram, sequence diagram, flow diagram to every module to design this system. At last, it analyses the data the system will deal with and give the entity relationship diagram and establish the database table.The system has four kinds of roles, scientific administrator, researchers, finders and financial leader. It contains six function modules, such as researcher management, scientific research achievements management, projects management, funds management, query statistics and system management The paper especially gives a detailed design description on the conventional query statistics and custom query statistics.At last, the paper summarizes all contents and the main work, also points out shortcomings of itself and then speculates on the work of the next step.
