Camera calibration is a necessary step for obtaining the3D information from the2D images, calibration results have a direct impact on the accuracy of3D measuring and the effect of3D reconstruction.For some of the actual situation, we need to calculate camera internal parameters from a single image, and cannot ignore the lens distortion. In this thesis, the use of concentric circles and straight line passes through the center of the circle as a template, put forward a calibration method for camera calibration with lens distortion from the single image. The main contents of this thesis are as follows:(1) Using the concentric circle and a pencil of lines passing through the circle’s center as the calibration template is to solve the radial distortion coefficients through a non-linear optimization process which is isolated from the pin-hole model calibration, and the detected points are corrected simultaneously.(2) Using the concentric circle and a pencil of lines passing through the circle’s center as the calibration template, obtained the vanishing line according a pencil of lines passing through the circle’s center and the Cross ratio invariance, and according to the epipolar geometry knowledge is to solve the projection of the center of the concentric circle.(3) Using the concentric circle and a pencil of lines passing through the circle’s center as the calibration template is to solve the three orthogonal direction of vanishing point, and obtain the image coordinates of circle point using the Raguel’s theorem and then achieve the camera intrinsic parameters linearly.(4)This thesis makes use of the simulated data and real images is to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.
