The human vision system can intepret a single2D line drawing as a3Dobject without much difficulty, even if the object’s information of hidden linesis shown in the2D line drawing. If you want to know the real object from the2D line drawing, it must be get3D information from2D images andreconstruct3D object.Projecting the3D object into the projection plane is aprocess of transforming high dimensional information into low dimensionalinformation. And this process has a nature theory and method. Nowadays, withthe development of technology, people dedicated to let computer emulate thisability of giving2D information to solve the3D information, computerreconstruct3D oject automatically by inputing2D view has become the mostpopular research direction in the field of modern Computer Graphies. In Computer Graphies, one of the main metheds of3D reconstruction isextract the line drawing from graph firstly, then explain to the information of3D object by the line drawing. Although line drawing is composed of lines inthe plane, but it expresses many important information of3D object. The linedrawing shows the importance of3D reconstruction. We generally stipulatethat visible line expressed in real line and invisible line expressed in dottedline when the3D object is projected. But the invisible part of the line drawingis not given, this increased the difficulty of the3D reconstruction. Line label isan effective method to explain3D object, it is better to analysis the relationship between vertex, line and face.In the early1980s,3D reconstruction had became one of the most popularresearch direction in the field of Computer Graphies, the researcher havestudied from many aspects and methods and made significant achievements:the3D object reconstruction based on European geometric, the reconstructionof spatial vertices, the reconstruction of spatial lines, the reconstruction ofspatial second-degree curve and so on.3D reconstruction is a process ofrestoring vertex coordinates, simply speaking, this process is supplement thedepth coordinates of lack in the2D line drawing. We present a reconstruction method based on the line drawing only withvisible vetices and lines. The line drawing of3D reconstruction is a completeline drawing of3D object formerly, but it will become more difficult when aline drawing without hidden lines, because there are infinite variety of possiblein the hidden part. This paper proposes a novel approach to reconstruction acomplete3D object, including the shape of the back of the object and ensurecompliance with the human visual system. Then it proposes a method ofvertex-based optimization for3D object reconstruction. Our approach consists of two steps:(1) infer the invisible vertices andedges to complete the line drawing,(2) optimize the complete line drawingbased on a strategy of cutting-and-merging of edges and vertices and make itconform our visual system,(3) propose a vertex-based optimization method toreconstruct a3D object.
