The Bus Line Query System Based On J2ee Design And Realization

Along with the processes of urbanization,the commuting needs increased as well. Because of the advantages of public transportation,it is still the primary options for most commuters.Most city governments stressed the importance of developing public transportation.But problems,such as traffic jams,accidents and pollutions,arise with the process of development.Because of the large amount of changeable public transportation information,it is hard to ensure the accuracy and promptness of the information if we use the traditional inquiry ways by locating our destination by map and thus bring us inconvenience for our life.With the wide use of computer,mobile phone and internet technique,computer and mobile phone is more and more closely connected with people's life and more and more software could be used on mobile phone.In the research paper,the author designs a system for public transportation information inquiry,based on computer and mobile phone,the system is accessible to internet.The system is built up of two main parts in hardware:computer platform(the Server) and mobile phone platform(the Client).The interface of the server is friendly.The system can satisfy passengers' need for public traffic information inquiries and management need for public traffic management.The Client stores the data in native storage equipment using the technology of J2ME.The RMS data storage of J2ME is very simple,and it updates the data in the form of interaction with the server.Comparing with the traditional mobile phone inquiries systems based on the server,this client system is more economical and more practical in use.Based on the combination of embedded system and internet technique,the project employs J2EE and J2ME as the development kits and develops the embedded wireless public transportation inquiry system,which receives the transportation information through GPRS and is characterized with a user-friendly interface.The author is responsible for the following tasks in the research of the system: analyzing the necessity and feasibility of the system,clarifying the designing plot and main control flow charts.Three inquiring functions are introduced for the public transportation information inquiry system,including bus line planning,by which users can get nonstop information between 2 stations;public transportation management,in which transportation information is cataloged into 5 sections and the Client can realize the 3 models of inquiry.The project reached the requirement of the research and the designed purposes.The application of the system will not only provide passengers with accurate transportation information and reasonable transportation line in time,but also enable transportation managing authorities to manage data scientifically.
