The locomotive positioning system is the control system of coke oven locomotive in the process of coking production. To ensure the safe and high efficient production, the pushing coke car, blocking coke car, Quenching coke car and coal car need to cooperate with each other. The address detection system is a key technology to achieve accurate positioning of the locomotive. Therefore, raising the level of address detection system has an important theoretical significance and practical value.The encoder identification system based on the optical sensors mainly includes encoder, U-shaped reader, encoder signal acquisition module and network transmission module, and it realizes the precise identification of running direction of coke oven vehicles, coke oven No. and the locomotive position. Where, the encoder is a galvanized sheet with two row of holes on both sizes according to certain rules, corresponding to the sampling pulse and furnace number information. Light sensors of Omron company installed on U reader can convert the opening information of encoder to electrical impulses and input them to encoder signal acquisition module. The encoder signal acquisition module based on microprocessor STM32F103 of ARM Cortex M3. adopts the photoelectric isolation technology to identify the running direction of coke oven vehicles, coke oven No. and the locomotive position. Finally, the results are transmitted to PLC through the network(Profibus protocol or Modbus protocol), which can realize the positioning of coke oven vehicles.Through software and hardware system debugging and testing, the experimental results show that the system can identify the running direction of coke oven vehicles, coke oven No. and the locomotive position accurately and efficiently. Besides, it is proved that the system work is stable, the network transmission is safe and reliable, all the indicators have met the requirements of the locomotive localization in the coking process, which has a very good application value.
