With the development of network communication technology, the communication business type presents the trend of the broadband, IP, optical transmission network arises at the historic moment under this trend. At present, the state grid is planning to the implementation of the backbone network engineering, and actively and steadily promote the grid high speed, large capacity, long standing distance transmission OTN network construction. Compared to the traditional SDH optical transmission communication system, its OTN succeeded the dual advantages of SDH and WDM optical transmission network, is an ideal solution to power system communication network transmission.This paper analyzes the present situation of national electric power communication backbone optical transmission network, according to the present stage grid business big capacity, long distance transmission characteristics of concrete was studied OTN light layer experience influence parameters of the network equipment configuration, its OTN network structure, equipment type, protection way, etc.; Of transmission loss, chromatic dispersion, optical signal-to-noise ratio algorithm is analyzed, through modeling and simulation grid light layer parameters calculation method of the experience, and combining with the experience of deployment OTN equipment and major vendors, formed the power OTN equipment general configuration principle, to provide the reference for OTN network design of fine design.Finally, the paper to state grid backbone transmission network of optical fiber communication network system of Taiyuan- Shijiazhuang trunk line as the research object, through the demand analysis, choose a suitable optimization scheme, and planning the topology, through the early formation of the formula for the configuration of equipment and interface card, and the optimization scheme for validation. Results show that the thesis puts forward the planning and design of the electric power communication network OTN principle, process and equipment configuration in accordance with the actual engineering needs, and the optimization of the proposed scheme is reasonable and reliable, have a certain use value and popularization meaning. Finally, this paper discussed OTN technology in electric power communication network in the future application prospect.
