Design And Research Of Broadband Power Line Communication System Based On INT6400

Power line communication technology, which use the power line as communication channel to transmit information, is built on the basis of the existing grid. Compared to the traditional Internet access technologies, high-speed PLC has many advantages and is regarded as one of the most competitive technology to solute ‘the last l km’ and ‘the last l00m’ problem. For this reason, PLC has become a research hotspot of Internet communication field.The main contents of this dissertation include design and implementation of one communication module of broadband PLC system. Based on the modulation technology used in PLC and in order to achieve high-speed data transmission, a commercial power line carrier INT6400 and INT1400 chipset that launched by Atheros in 2009 were used to built the communication module.Firstly, research status of PLC related technologies of the domestic and foreign was introduced; Secondly, some key technologies of broadband PLC, including the basic principles of PLC technology, the basic principles of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) and the OFDM-based Home Plug-AV protocol were introdued. Then, the design scheme of hardware of this PLC module was introduced and each part of this module was desribed in detail. Finally, According to the package of INT6400, design method of pads of LFBGA package was introduced. In order to improve the quality of EMC and thermal dissipation, number of layer, manner of lamination and layout of the whole system were taken into account specially. 4-layers PCB was designed and manufactured and the basic performances were test and analyzed.
