The Borderless development of cultural makes it possible of the cross-industry, cross-mediaand cross-ownership develop, and hence the diversified culture industry group is expected to beborn. Then the media industry would be right front of the culture industry as a big and potentialmarket that contains and disseminates anything by any means.In this paper, we re-discussed the dimensions and stages during the development of mediaconvergence, creatively raised the concepts of the “dimension of vertical integration” and the“dimension of horizontal integration”, namely the own vertical integration of media itself and thehorizontal integration between different media. Especially, by the recording of “dimension ofhorizontal integration” and based on the fusion of the dimension between traditional and newmedia, we puts forward the three stages of the media convergence, namely the stage of newmedia construction by traditional media:“the interaction between newspaper and internet” and“the reprint”,The stage of interaction and dimension by the traditional media and the new media:“the pseudo-proposition” and rethink,The stage of the extended-cultural group:“borderless” and“extended-cultural”. This paper focuses on the reflection of media convergence, test for manyyears, what is the effect of the transformation of traditional media? Which attempt goes wrong?To make the traditional media Internet-enabled, what exploration or innovation should be taken?We believe that the media convergence will finally goes to the dimension of so-called“extended-cultural” which have no boundaries.Based on this, the purely exploration of how the dimension goes between the traditionalmedia and the new media may have lost its necessity to some extent. More importantly iswhether the traditional media have the Internet thinking, and whether they could use this kind ofthinking, with the help of era development, to develop the construction of media. The hype of theconcept of “new media” is not a lifeline of traditional newspaper, on the contrary, in the currentdevelopment of media mergence, the print need to its own ground that lost by the new mediabecause of its imperfection to show its unique value. With the development of times, the form ofthe media development has been changing all the time, therefore, the news-production must bechange accordingly, this is not only the drive of the times but also the progress of the history. Butwhere the news published, or released by what kind of media has nothing to do with the essenceof the news. Any news pushed or published by the Internet, mobile client channels or newspapers is just the news after all, but what is the news, that is what people should think, namely theexploration and thinking of the development path of media convergence.
