In recent years, with the continuous development of information technology, theuniversities use their own portals or other Internet platforms, constantly publishing,sharing and updating the Postgraduate Admission Catalogs. Compared with thetraditional paper version of the Postgraduate Admission Catalogs, electronicdocument version of the Postgraduate Admission Catalogs content richer, morefriendly man-machine interactive interface, can provide more personalized service.However, the current Postgraduate Admission Catalogs have some problems ininformation Publishing, information sharing and re-use of information. A largeamount of unstructured and semi-structured information scattered distribution in theschool information system, information is not comprehensive and systematicmanagement and utilization. Lack of contact between published information, Theparts information exist in isolation, Increased the difficulty of access to information,consumes a lot of time of the user, which makes the information utilization rate is nothigh.In this paper, in order to solve the Postgraduate Admission Catalogs reuseproblems, design the XML Schema to obtain the structured data, to facilitateinformation aggregation and utilization. By the investigation and analysis of theexisting Postgraduate Admission Catalogs, statistics the data and the sharing ofexisting Postgraduate Admission Catalogs, to find the patterns, which can be use forreference to output and aggregation structured Information. Design the PostgraduateAdmission Catalogs XML Schema and the National University PostgraduateAdmission Catalogs Database Index XML Schema. Analysis the operation andutilization mode of the database. In the design of the Postgraduate Admission Catalogs XML Schema, inclusiveand scalability of the XML Schema should be fully considered, so as to better use byother colleges and universities in the future. At the same time, in the design of theXML Schema also use simple technology, maximum use Chinese, not to increase theoperator workload. The purpose of data structured is to facilitate informationaggregation, and the purpose of information aggregation is to facilitateinformation reusability. The ultimate goal of this plan is every college PostgraduateAdmission Catalogs in a unified XML Schema release and generate the nationaluniversity Postgraduate Admission Catalogs XML Database.
