With the development of information technology, especially the rapid progress ofinternet and rising popularity of computer technology, people can access and shareinformation resources more convenient on Internet. A new way of informationdissemination called digital publishing emerges as required, which basically changethe traditional way that people read by bringing the new concept of digital reading.However, unlike traditional print publications, the digital publishing resources can beeasily copied, spread and manipulated illegally, which make it hard to protectintellectual property and copyright. At present, copyrights are usually traded in theform of authorization and electronic key and paid-for content methods are also used toprotect copyrights. In practice, DRM (Digital Rights Management) is a widelyadopted copyright protection method; it fits the trend of digital information and hadbeing spread on internet. DRM proposes a series of technologies against digital piracyand infringement, with which digital copyright owners could define different usagerights to different digital content copies and then prices could be decided according tothe different usage rights. Users can only get the corresponding digital content afterpaying for it and being authorized. The DRM that are commonly used usuallyprovides the catalogues of digital books and electronic documents and even the accessto full text online for free. However, users must pay for the digital contents whichthey need to download.This paper states the related technologies of DRM and makes an attempt to builda framework of the digital resources trading platform based on.NET framework.Efforts are also made to explore an effective and safe management method on digitalcontents trade and analyze the authorization of digital publications and the control ofclients in the frame of DRM. The main contributions of this paper are shown asfollowing:(1) A framework of the digital copyrights trading platform based on.NETframework is built and an effective and a safe management method on digital contentstrade is carried out.(2) According to the security problems of digital copyrights using in Internet, adetail requirement analysis and system design are given, a role based access controlmodel of DRM and a simple and applied licensing structure are achieved. It can improve the classified management of user, in which the customer can apply forpermission, and then accomplish the promulgation and storage of related license.(3) With the framework of.Net, all the important function are finished, including usermanagement, digital copyrights resource management, funds of accounts management,digital copyrights resource trade management, etc. And the system functions weretested and analyzed.
