Research On The Flexible Automated Testing System Supporting For Scripting Language

With the rapid development of the high-tech, categorys of electronic productshas been progressively growing. And products of the same type have different modelsand features even produced by the same manufacturer. This makes products testingmore complex and more testing workload. Obviously, the traditional manual testingcan’t meet the requirements of modern testing any more. Automated test system cannot only help testers reduce the workload, but also improve test’s accuracy andefficiency. Therefore, how to improve the automated test system’s flexibility andversatility is an important research focus.To solve the above problems, a flexible automated testing system which issupporting for scripting language is desinged. Industrial control computer is used asthe control center. In aspect of hardware’s architecture, the multi-class bus technologyis used to connect different types of test equipments to the industrial control computer.And in aspect of software’s framework, the embedded Ch engine is used as the scriptinterpreter and its CHSDK is used to encapsulate the test instruments’ driver interfacefunction into a function that can be called directly by the Ch test script. In this system,given a hardware architecture, different products can be tested just by writing andrunning different test scripts. It shows that the system has the flexibility and versatility.The main work of this paper is as follows:1) The Ch script interpreter is employed in the automated test system. By usingits CHSDK, instruments’ driver API (Application Programming Interface), which isprovided by instruments’ producer, like NI(National Instruments), are encapsulattedinto functions which can be called by Ch script directly.2) A flexible automated testing system which is supporting for scripting languagewas desinged. Serveral different types of electronic products can be tested in thissystem on the given hardware architecture and the testers’ work is just writing andrunning different test scripts and viewing the test results on system’s softwareplatform, which makes the system to test devices more flexible and efficient and reduces testers’ workload.3) Two different types of electronic products is selected to test in the system. Theexperiments show that the system is feasibility and versatility.
