With the popularity of Internet of Things and Sapiential City, Radio Frequency Identification iswidely applied on a global scale as the cored technology. Especially the UHF RFID technology, ithas become a hot topic of research in the RFID technology because of long-distance and high-speed.In the application process of UHF RFID technology, China lacks the relevant technical standards tosupport it, but international standard protocols and patents, such as ISO18000-6c, is becoming moreand more perfect. This situation has seriously hampered the development of the domestic RFIDindustry. In2013, China has also made UHF RFID standard protocols with independent intellectualproperty rights.This paper gives a detailed research on the design and implementation of UHF RFID Readerbaseband based on Chinese Standard protocol. Therefore, this design has some reference signi-ficance to designing UHF RFID Reader with Chinese protocol.First of all, this thesis introduces the technology and background of RFID, and review ofdevelopment status about RFID technology at home and abroad. Bsides, the paper analyses themain research work of this thesis. Then, it introduces the operating principle and composition of theRFID reader system, also includes the RFID standard protocol of China—《Information technologyRadio frequency identification Air interface protocol at800/900MHz》, and analyze its advantagesand disadvantages by contrast with other international standards protocols.Secondly, in the aspect of hardware, this design builds the UHF RFID Reader basebandthrough discrete device. The design adopts the ST chip STM32F207VGT6as an ARM processor,and the TI chip TMS320VC5502as a DSP processor. The ARM processor is the Control processorof digital baseband that it completes the comprehensive application of the whole system. Besides,on the basis of STM32F207VGT6chip resources, the design implements some circuits, such as,Ethernet, USB and so on. The DSP processor is the digital signal processor of baseband that itcompletes the data processing algorithm of the whole system. On the basis of STM32F207VGT6chip resources, the design mainly includes two parts: DAC transmitter circuit and ADC receivercircuit.Then, in the aspect of software, According to the regulation of Chinese standard protocol, thisthesis completes the main program of reader system, at the same time, implements the communi-cation between upper computers. DSP processor is the data processing unit of reader baseband thatrealizes the Chinese Standard protocol, and the program consists of TPP coded sending unit and FM0decoded receiving unit. The thesis accomplishes in-depth study on the sending unit in Chineseprotocol that it includes the designs of Raised Cosine Roll-off Filter and CRC.Finally, this thesis completes the joint test of UHF RFID Reader system through the testplatform, thus gets the final data results which verifies the correctness of the design.
