Color blindness, or color vision deficiency, mainly caused by genetic mutation, is a genetic disease troubled people for along time. The specific performance of color blindness, under normal lighting conditions, is the inability or decreased ability to see color, or perceive color differences. Now, with the development in science and technology, we have a higher requirements for the quality of our lives, which lead to the extensive use of color. For people with normal color vision, it can improve the fun of our lives to use color extensively, but for color-blind people, however, it highlights tremendously their inability to distinguish different colors. In this environment it is difficult for people with color blindness to feel the magic of color design, and they even can not get the normal information.Current research on color blindness has shown that the pathogenic factors of the majority of color blindness are inherited factors. Concerned the present level of medical research on color blindness, there is not an effective treatment for this diserse. If the doctors insist on treating color blindness with medical method, it may bring an unknown damage to eyes that patient can not bear. Thus, the doctors need to be extremely careful when they try to treat color blindness on professional approach in medical. But the research on color blindness in the field of image processing can avoid the impact of the eyes because the mainly objects are iamegs, not eyes. Therefore, in terms of safety and effectiveness, the research on color blindness in the field of image processing has a meaningful research value.In this paper the study on the color version auxiliary correction is a color conversion method based on the color difference model. We calculate color differences and brightness differences among different pixels in original color image and then construct a color difference model, with which we can transform color difference information in original color image to gray image. During the onversion process the color difference constrast information and the overall perception of the original color image are retained and improve image contrast information. In this way people with color blindness can easily obtain useful information, percieve the color change and overall perception of the original color image. According to different color difference model and different color space, in this paper we will study color vision correction auxiliary methods in HSI colorspace and RGB color space respectively.In the experimental part, we performe a lot of comparison and analysis experiments between color-blind simulation images and the result images of this paper. We can see that the results of this paper can effectively improve the capability of color-blind people obtaining information from color images, which verify the feasibility of the methods of this paper used in color vision correction auxiliary.
