Gas detection alarm plays a vital role in the industrial production and our daily life. With the rapid development of the national economy, improving safety awareness in the industrial production process is catching more and more people’s attention and concerns. Therefore, whether the gas detection alarm can work well at the producting site relates to guaranteeing the safety of the workers and the whole enterprise or not. In the metrology work, it is very meaningful and of great value that examing the key technology areas of the gas detection alarm rigorously and carefully.Previous methods of verificating gas detection alarm is a manual test method, which not only takes plenty of time but also can not guarantee the efficiency of verification. Therefore, automatic verification methods is put forward to save the time of verificating and improve the efficiency of verification.This thesis describes the methods of gas metrology verification and precautions in Measurement Science Research Institute of Shandong Province in detail. This project is focused on the research of the key technology of gas alarm detector device,which is based on manual verification, updating to the verification process from manual methods to automatic control through computer.In this thesis, the signal communication section uses serial communication between the computer and the Programmable Logic Controlle(PLC), the PLC and solenoid valves to realize signal communications, and manual checks can be replaced by automatic tests. Furthermore, the relevant parameters of the procedures are calculated through calculation methods according to the standard requirements of the test procedures. The uncertainty analysis of the test results has also been done in Measurement Science Research Institute of Shandong Province.
