The application of high-resolution CCD camera in the national economy and defense construction is becoming more and more important. However, the technology in this area of our country is still in arrears. The new remote sensing CCD camera system is researched and developed in this situation. However, the CCD chip used in camera is expensive in price, easy to damage, and long in development cycle of actual CCD imaging electronics system. In order to test the performance of the relevant system promptly, this paper proposes a universal research and implementation of a universal CCD image test system.This paper designs and implements a complete image test system. This system can simulate the function of the actual CCD imaging electronics systems to provide the accurate and stable image data stream for rear-end circuits and system, or the analog CCD signal for different video signal processing circuit. In addition, the universal CCD image testing system also can be used as an experimental image processing system. In this system, it is possible to achieve different image processing algorithms and associated circuit systems. The universal CCD image test system includes three PCB, the digital system board, the interface board and the analog signal board. The digital system board is based on the FPGA, and the main function of this CCD image test system is achieved in this board, which includes the image data download and storage, format conversion, control of data output, generation and transmission of the image data to the analog signal board. The interface board is used to provide an input/output interface of the system. Simulated CCD analog signal is generated by the analog signal board.The development of this system is very practice. This system can simulate a variety of digital image signal of different CCD electronics imaging system, and then output the image data or CCD image signal through different interfaces, which has strong flexibility. This system can test the performance of rear-end circuit in advance, which can reduce the development time effectively. This system can simulate the CCD image output with various types of noise, which can make the debug of rear-end circuit closer to the reality. In addition, the system can be used as experimental image processing system to achieve different image processing algorithms and associated circuit. The greatest advantage of this system is versatile and feature-rich.
