Wireless sensor networks(WSNs) are multi-hop and self-organization networks, which consist of a great many micro sensor nodes deployed in the monitoring area. These nodes cooperatively collect information from the surrounding environment to complete the real-time monitoring task. They have some significant characters such as small size, low price and strong self-organization. It has a widespread application prospect in civilian, as well as military and many other areas. However, restricted by limited battery power and rough working situation, the node is easily to lose ability. Failure of sensors makes the topology of WSNs change quickly and affects the communication between nodes. Therefore, designing a good topology is of great significance to improve the resilience and prolong the lifetime of WSNs. Firstly, this paper mainly introduces the background, the current study situation, network architecture and features, at the same times, gives a brief overview for its practical application; secondly describes the theoretical knowledge of three classical models(ER, WS and BA networks) in complex networks and their practical applications. In addition, gives some common topology parameters. In order to improve WSNs’ resilience, we proposed the strategies in the following.1.Based on complex network theory, this article puts forward a network evolution model considering of the node degree, residual energy and transmission distance, referred to as DEDA. Compared with the EAEM model, the evolution mechanism not only takes into account the degree and residual energy, also includes the distance between nodes, on the other hand, it divides the preferential attachment into two steps. At the same time, by introducing four kinds of suitable indicators(node degree, largest connected component(LCC), the average shortest path length of LCC, the transmission efficiency) for WSNs to evaluate the resilience ability. By the model simulation, we compare the resilience of different network topologies which are formed by different evolution model under random and deliberate attacks. The experimental results show that DEDA model provides better anti-destroying ability.2. Based on MATLAB GUI framework, we design and implement a simulation software for the growth model of WSNs and analysis on resilience. During the progress, we firstly make a requirement analysis for software, and then divide it three modules, namely, parameters design model, function selection model and simulation display module. Making use of the GUI tools in MATLAB, edit the each object and write the corresponding callback function to get each GUI object together. Thus, it offers a graphical interface and helps users to set parameter and control the simulation process. So it is of benefit to analysis the resilience of networks.
