The Application Research Of Data Mining Technology In Teaching Evaluation

How to improve the quality of the college teaching has become the most important thing in edbiz. In colleges and universities, teaching quality is closely related to the evaluation of teachers’ teaching, which is the important basis to the evaluation for teachers’ titles. However, the evaluation score is obtained merely by simple calculations, the results can’t be used to qualitatively analyze the teaching level, and also, it cannot give targeted, suggestions improving teaching quality.With the development of computer technology, data mining has become a mature technology, which is also widely used in various areas. This paper introduced the theory about Rough and AHP, and determined the index weight of evaluation data by combining the advantages of these two methods; Secondly, this paper improved the K-medoids algorithm, and applied it to the teacher evaluation system, the key factor effecting the teaching quality was analyzed through mining the information related to teaching evalution.Firstly, this paper set the weight of evaluation index using the method of Rough and AHP, and then calculates the scores of new weight, and compared with the average result of correlated curriculum. Secondly, PLSQL was utilized to integrate the results of teaching evaluation,. using the weka appraisal data conversion. An improved K-medoids was proposed and analyzed the performance of original and improved. Finally, using the improved clustering algorithm for evaluation data, and found the valuable rules from evaluation data, providing a good reference for the administration at college.The result shows that the method of the data mining in this paper is feasible. The potential information about the teaching evaluation can be obtained by using data mining techniques. The messages gives decision-makers the theoretical basis to make the right decision, which would be more targeted and meaningful.
