The Study Of Teaching Quality Evaluation System Based On Rough Set Theory

Rough set theory, initialized by Professor Pawlak in early 1980s, has been proved to be an excellent mathematical tool dealing with uncertain and vague description of objects, whose basic idea is to derive classification rules of conception by knowledge reduction with the ability of classification unchanged. It may find the hiding and potential rules, from the data without any preliminary or additional information. In recent years, Rough set theory and its applications have played an important role.Teaching quality evaluation system is an important approach to assure the educational quality, It is a non-linear process with many factors, multivariable and vagueness. Rough set theory is a tool to solve the problems of large amount or uncertain data in teaching quality evaluation system.In this paper, the classical Pawlak rough set theory is firstly introduced, then the problem of attribute reduction and value reduction are discussed. The attribute reduction was the reduction of redundant attribute on the decision table, the paper has used a new attribute reduction algorithm based on the information quantity. The value reduction is further to simplify the attribute value of the objects, this paper proposes the value reduction algorithm by constructing multi-value discernable matrix for each object to obtain decision rules. Secondly, the paper designs and elaborates the overall structure and the function of evaluation system, and designs the public registered module, the data acquisition module, the teacher overall assessment module and the statistical inquiry module in detail. Finally, the attributes reduction algorithm and value reduction algorithm of rough set theory are applied in teaching quality evaluation system, we present a model for teaching evaluation system based on rough set theory, the system finds important quotas for improving the quality of class teaching by the four processes: the data pretreatment, the attribute reduction, the rule production and simplification, the rule confirms, and obtains the results of evaluation to the teacher.
