On September 8th, 1931, an outbreak of "918" incident shocked the China and foreign, Japan begin to invade northeastern China comprehensively. On March 1st, 1932, Japanese imperialism bolster China’s last emperor Yi Pu to set up a puppet regime- the puppet Manchukuo, set Xinjing(Changchun) as its capital. From then on, the people of the land in China’s northeast suffered brutal colonial rule in Japanese imperialism and repression. At the same time, Japanese imperialism begin to strengthen the control of the press and publication industry, and ultimately control the northeastern press manipulation.New Manchou is the longest large comprehensive magazine in the northeast puppet period, its organizer is "Manchuria Book co., LTD", the issuer is "Manchuria Book co." director, Wuzhen Juyue, Japanese, the founding editor is "Manchuria Book co., LTD" compiling room leader, Guanglie Wang, Shouren Ji take over as editor from volume 4th, November. Each edition of New Manchou contained news and editorial, literature, gossip, art, science, entertainment and other aspects. It’s called “this old magazine, is the core of Manchukuo magazines", enough to see its influence at that time. New Manchou is established in January 1939, terminated in April 1945, one edition per month; it had published 74 editions during 7 years. This period is when the Japanese invaders continued to set strict rules on press, under the control of the puppet government, New Manchou is the representative among many journals at that time, embodying the distinct characteristics of the times. The paper analyzes and researches New Manchou’s text content in 1939-1945 from the perspective of journalism and communication. Firstly, introduce the magazine’s founder, editor, and its market positioning, studies its principle combined with magazine’s "volume" and "afterword"; Secondly, analyse the magazine’s main content, column, as well as writer group, sum up the New Manchou’s unique character and grade compared to other journals at the same time; And then, research the magazine’s colonial promotional activities on the basis of the content published on the New Manchou; Finally on the basis of above research, summarize the New Manchou’s ultimate ending, national ideology as well as its characteristics in the colonial propaganda.The paper bases on the original text published on the New Manchou, connects with the historical background and social environment in the Manchukuo, adopts the method of positivism, analyses and researches such a magazine with brand of the time, sums up the magazine’s personality and taste, as well as its characteristics and role in the process of colonialism propaganda.
