With the rapid development of vehicle electronics and network information technology, it promoted more and more requirements about the safety, efficiency and comfort of the car. Telematics is the response to this for us. As the core of telematics industry, TSP (Telematics Service Provider) provide customers many meaningful contents and services, such as remote diagnostic, vehicle monitoring, navigation and entertainment by integrating with telematics device, GPS and telecommunication. Traditionally, automakers have to cooperate with one TSP to provide telematics services to customers. Different automakers rely on different TSPs. TSPs are hard to grow bigger quickly due to the homogenization of services in the present market. Moreover, with the rapid development of smart devices and mobile internet, consumers need their telematics data to sync with their smart devices. Therefore, an open, flexible, scalable TSP service platform with excellent user experience is very important to the whole industry.This article provides the solution to build a NGTP (Next Generation Telematics Pattern) based TSP cloud platform based on NGTP and Windows Azure by analyzing the telematics services development trend and refering to actual cases at home and abroad. In this solution, the author analyzes the requirements and works out a telematics services list. Then the author designs the TSP platform which includes dispatcher, frontend subsystem and backend subsystem based on the deep research of both NGTP and Windows Azure, and implement it by using Microsoft.NET and Windows Azure SDK. At last, the author makes a simple explanation of the function testing, stress testing and typical usage scenarios of the platform.The research result of the article provides a new train of thought and reference value to promote related fields research and development of TSP platform.
