Design And Implementation Of Windows Azure And Windows 8 Based Trip Social Solution

With the development of Internet and mobile Internet, social networking websites and applications developed rapidly. One of the pattern for large-scale social applications is the large number concurrent user access. With the number of users increases, the data are generated rapidly every day. It has been a challenge for how to ensure the high availability and data security of the application. It was not easy to meet the high demand for concurrent user access at low cost and utilize the computing resources effectively.Cloud computing brought us a new way to use computing resources effectively. This thesis studies the development of cloud computing in recent years, and analyzes the issues like the waste of computing resource and poor scalability of the application. We propose to build a data service by cloud computing technology as a solution. And then we discuss the cloud computing products and categories on the market, and choose Microsoft Windows Azure as the development platform. We study the execution models, storage, SQL Azure and access control service on Windows Azure. On the client side, this thesis analyzes the development of mobile devices and applications, and selects Windows 8 as the development operating system. We analyze the feature of Windows 8 applications and design Windows Azure & Windows 8 based Trip Social Solution(WWTSS). The data service is built on Azure storage and SQL Azure. The client application is built on Windows 8 and communicates with the data service in cloud. The features include exploring trip information, following others, sharing trip information and photos, etc.The availability and scalability of the social travel application is improved by utilizing Windows Azure and Windows 8. The user experience is also better and the cost is lower.
