Telemetry receiver, as a main device of the telemetry ground receiving system, is very important in the development of modern military technology. The Software-defined radio(SDR) is based on open universal hardware platform which using scalable and reconfigurable application software to achieve the wireless transmission functions, and this concept is suitable for telemetry technology.At first, the theory of SDR and digital signal processing and relative knowledge are researched and analyzed in this paper. On the basis of SDR theoretical system structure, the FPGA platform based full-field digital telemetry receiver design scheme is defined. Then digital down converter(DDC) concept, each module and each synchronization system of the receiver are researched. The DDC module and the synchronization modules of the receiver are detailed designed based on the research results. At last, FPGA Implementation, simulation and verification of the telemetry receiver have been conducted using Verilog HDL.The software simulation results indicate that the design can meet the initial design requirement and the operation requirements.
